Growing up, I always dreamed of having a storefront, a space where my creativity could flourish and something meaningful could take shape. The “what” was always unclear, but the “why” never wavered. My roots in Argentina—the country where I was born—have always been a source of pride and inspiration. Pairing that with my lifelong love of art and design, the dream finally became clear: Macacha, a luxury leather goods company that brings the richness of Argentina to the world.
Macacha isn’t just a name; it’s a legacy. Inspired by Macacha Güemes—an Argentine heroine celebrated for her courage, kindness, and unrelenting pursuit of her dreams—we found the perfect namesake for our brand. Like her, we believe in following your heart and standing firmly in your values.
That spirit drives everything we do, from sourcing the finest, most authentic leather in Argentina to crafting timeless designs that honor tradition and individuality. This dream became a reality through collaboration with my stepdad, Mario Sosa, our friend, Marcelo Ruiz, and of course my mom, Gisela Chesi. Together, we fused my creative vision with their deep understanding of our shared heritage.
The result? Macacha: a brand that embodies authenticity, resilience, and connection to the things that matter most. Every piece we create is more than just leather. It’s a celebration of Argentina, a tribute to craftsmanship, and a reminder to embrace courage and tradition in all that we do.
